The Laboratory of Biological Analysis established in 1986. The main aims of the laboratory are to gather morphological and other data, and to make detailed biological analysis of all received vertebrate animals. All information about living organisms is encoded in cells; therefore, the collection of wild animal tissues for genetic research was initiated about ten years ago. At present the tissue collection comprises about 1,300 specimens of mammal and bird tissue.
